The Oliomio 80 olive oil extraction machine is suitable for a small producer with a capacity of around 40 - 80 kg per hour throughput of olives.
This 'in-between' size has made the Oliomio 80 very popular.
Self contained
This is a fully self contained machine which can carry out the olive crushing, malaxing & separation processes all in one unit.
Olives are poured into the hopper, where an auger carries them to a hammer-mill for crushing.
The Crusher
Also referred to as a hammer mill or knife mill, a set of motor-driven knives/hammers crush the olives against a perforated screen to create an olive paste, ready for the malaxing stage.
The Malaxing process: The olive paste is gently mixed in tanks, providing an environment for the natural olive enzymes to break down cell walls, encouraging oil droplets to release from the paste, and group together.
Processing aids such as enzyme may be used during this stage.
Optimal malaxing times vary according to the fruit processed.
From there the paste is sent to the decanter (A modern centrifugal extractor) where the separation occurs: first comes the oil and the waste residue (made up of waste pomace & water from the olive).
An optional
DLE BABY is available for leaf removal and fruit washing.
The whole frame is made of AISI 304 STAINLESS STEEL and food-grade materials.
